Fish Perfect for your Aquarium
Fish make for wonderful pets, as long as you care for them well. Aquariums are great places to look at in your house. But the work involved in keeping an aquarium can put off so many people. Should you manage that task, you shall find them to be great pets to have around. This calls for you to select fish that shall be easy to care for. You also need the peaceful breeds that can live among others well. Here are examples of such fish for you to consider.
Danios are small, active and colorful fish. These are normally in red, yellow and green. You will see them as active but they are not aggressive and do well with other species. You need to place them in a large aquarium with gravel and plants at the bottom, with pH levels close to that of fresh water.
Black Molly, however, can live in any water. You will find them easier to care for. They are normally platinum colored, dusty gold or black. Their diet is made up of flake and pellet foods, bloodworms and brine shrimp. They can live with other fish as long as they are not larger.
Platies are even more colorful, mostly in blue, purple, red-orange, and yellow. You can get more color blends after they have been bred. They are quiet and live well among other quiet fish. The male species are normally smaller than the female ones. You should put them in warmer water, and feed them flake food, freeze-dried food, and algae.
You will find Betta fish in shapes like half-moon, double-tail and crown tail. They like warmer water that is rinsed off often.
Neon Tetra come with silver or white abdomens with bright blue backs. They also live well with other species.
Guppies are the most playful of them all, and love to breed. If you keep some, it is only a matter of time before you have a full family. The female species is normally twice as big as the meals in size. The males are however the brighter colored ones.
Rainbow fish have the colors moisture their names suggest. They appear even more colorful once they settle in the aquarium. They are not aggressive or that much active.
Glofish are similar to Danios, except for their neon shine. They are also less active fish.
These are some of the fish that shall do well in your aquarium. Since most of them do not mind living with other species, you can mix them up to achieve variety in the aquarium’s display. If you wish to see other types of fish you can add to the aquariums, you can read more about them on this site.
